The New York Giants have secured another player from their 2024 rookie draft class as we approach OTAs and mandatory mini-camp.
Rookie cornerback Dru Phillips, the Giants' third-round selection, has agreed to his four-year rookie deal.
Phillips, who is 5-foot-11 and weighs 180 pounds, entered the draft after playing three seasons at Kentucky. During his time as a Wildcat, he played 38 games, started 16, and finished his career at Kentucky with 80 tackles, including two and a half for a loss and nine pass deflections.
The versatile corner, who made it clear at the rookie mini-camp that he can play both inside and outside, will begin his career with the Giants in the slot, the place he said during mini-camp he prefers to play.
