Ben McAdoo wants to avoid late-night phone calls over next six weeks

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- It’s those late-night phone calls that make NFL head coaches fret most. They're rarely anything positive.

Former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin received one several years back when Jason Pierre-Paul had his Fourth of July fireworks mishap. His successor Ben McAdoo has had his fair share over the past year since taking over, and probably most recently when wide receiver Roger Lewis was arrested and charged with OVI in Ohio.

This time of the year is when it seems coaches are most likely to get those calls.
