Giants To Suspend CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie

A rough season for the New York Giants has taken another bad turn. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will be suspended by the team after leaving practice today.

Ben McAdoo did not provide further details on what caused Rodgers-Cromartie to leave the team before practice. It's unclear how long he'll be suspended. Two reports say Rodgers-Cromartie was unhappy with his current role on the Giants.

Rodgers-Cromartie has played mostly in the slot this year. Eli Apple has struggled this year as teams have targeted him.

Rodgers-Cromartie signed a five-year, $35 million deal with the team before the 2014 season. He was set to be a free agent after the 2018 season. His name was also mentioned as a potential cap cut this year and would likely pop up again this year.
