Every franchise has a position or style that defines their franchise. Some organizations are notorious for having great defensive units, while others may have a history of great quarterback play. If the New York Giants had to be defined by one term it would be: Great linebacker play.

From Sam Huff to Harry Carson to Lawrence Taylor to Jessie Armstead, this organization is loaded with rich history at the linebacker position. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case of late.

Jerry Reese and company have missed on a countless number of players at the position in the draft, and really since Antonio Pierce‘s departure they haven’t had a consistent signal caller at the position.
