The Saints took a step toward addressing the loss of starting defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins to a torn Achilles tendon in last Sunday’s NFC Playoffs Divisional Round against the Eagles. Out of a small group brought in for tryouts, former Saint Tyrunn Walker was reportedly signed to the roster.
Tyrunn Walker began his NFL career signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Tulsa following the 2012 NFL Draft. With the Saints, from 2012 to 2014, Walker spent a year on the practice squad before gradually seeing some playing time, although in a minor capacity.
