New Orleans Saints won't use injuries as excuse for 0-3 record

The New Orleans Saints have become football's version of a military-style MASH unit with three regular-season games in the books.

Against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, the Saints were without numerous starters, including left tackle Terron Armstead (knee), safety Kenny Vaccaro (ankle), defensive tackle Tyeler Davison (shoulder, foot), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (quad) and wide receiver Willie Snead (toe).

While it would be easy to point to mounting injuries as a reason the Saints sit on a 0-3 record for a second straight season, don't expect the players to wallow in self-pity.

"You won't see it from me," safety Roman Harper said.
