The New Orleans Pelicans waived Quinn Cook and Axel Toupane earlier today. Both players were due additional guarantees on July 25th on their contracts — Cook a total of $100K and Toupane $200K per Bobby Marks.
The announcement regarding Toupane was largely expected, but Cook’s came as a surprise to many as he was one of the standouts in the 2017 Las Vegas Summer League Tournament.
NOLA waived Quinn Cook. In Vegas, he put up 21.2 PPG, 4.8 APG, 3.6 RPG, 1.2 SPG. He shot 55.
