With a shortage of healthy players on the roster, the New Orleans Pelicans had a difficult decision.
They made that painful decision yesterday.
The Pelicans waived recently acquired Omri Casspi, in order to sign free agent win Reggie Williams to the team. This was incredibly difficult, as the Pelicans did express excitement over Casspi’s acquisition.
However, this is a team on a clear mission to make a playoff run. Every roster spot counts. They took the chance by letting go of a very good shooter, who would be iffy on the rest of the season.
Instead, they will bring back a familiar face in Reggie Williams.
