Once the summer rankings of NBA players kicked with the Sports Illustrated Top 100 earlier this week, it became time for New Orleans Pelicans fans to wait and see how many times Anthony Davis finished above Kevin Durant for the title of second best player in the world. After Sports Illustrated released their top 10 on Thursday afternoon the count so far stays at zero, as Davis fell into the third spot in the first released rankings.
That said, SI wasn’t exactly saying Davis didn’t belong in that second spot, as Rob Mahoney praised Davis throughout the capsule explaining his placement.
