Salas Named College Sports Madness Player of the Week

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State guard Brooke Salas was named the College Sports Madness Player of the Week on Monday after leading the women's basketball team to victory in both match ups last week. The sophomore averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists to go along with 5 steals and two blocks through 59 minutes of play.

This is the second College Sports Madness Player of the Week honor of Salas' career. The Placentia, Calif. native was also recognized as the Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week in week one after putting up a double-double in the season opener.
