Kelsey Horton Receives NFCA Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – New Mexico State's Kelsey Horton received recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Thursday. Horton was a second team selection in the Pacific Region.

The Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year leads the WAC in batting average (.424), slugging percentage (.816), on-base percentage (.515), runs (51), RBI (59), home runs (16) and total bases (129) this season. She broke the conference records for batting average (.558) and slugging percentage (1.258) and tied the record for home runs per game (0.60) in league games. Horton also tied the school record for home runs in a game (3) and total bases in a single game (12),
