TYLER, Texas --- Tyrone Owens, UNM's junior running back from Manor Texas that rushed for 1,097 yards as a sophomore in 2016, has been named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Watch List, announced by Tyler Chamber of Commerce.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award was established in 2012 "to recognize the nation's college offensive player of the year who meets the awards criteria and to encourage student-athletes to succeed on and off the field while having the drive and the tenacity to persist and overcome adversity and injury in the pursuit of reaching their goals.
