Albuquerque, N.M. — The University of New Mexico's Men's Golf team is tied for ninth after the first round of the Erin Hills Intercollegiate at 11- over 299. The field is competitive and grouped closely together, with 10 shots separating third place from ninth.
Head coach Glen Millican was quoted saying that "ground can be made up by eliminating a few careless mistakes." He continued on saying that "our guys are capable of playing a great round tomorrow." With a few adjustments in such a compressed field, the Lobos would definitely allow themselves to get back into the mix.
