ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Friday Night Lights was a great book about high school football in Texas, and it was eventually a great movie and television show. But Friday Night Lights takes on a different meaning for the Lobo ski team and the rest of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association, as the opening race of the Spencer James Nelson Colorado Invitational will take play under the lights in Steamboat Springs.
The slalom race is the first of three races for the alpine squads, with the giant slalom on Saturday and the second and final RMISA giant slalom qualifier on Sunday.
