Fresno State guard announces he’s transferring to UNM Lobos

The Lobos are about to add a little size, and a lot of experience in the backcourt for the coming season.

Jemarl Baker, a 6-foot-5 transfer guard from fellow Mountain West Conference school Fresno State, posted Monday on his Instagram page that he has committed to the University of New Mexico men’s basketball team.

The 24-year-old Baker, who due to both injuries and playing through a COVID season will be 25 when he plays for the Lobos in what will be his sixth college season in 2023-24, posted: “What’s good, Albuquerque #committed” with pictures of him in a turquoise Lobos uniform on his recruiting visit this past weekend in Albuquerque.
