ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico associate athletic director Ed Manzanares has announced that alumna Paula Congleton has been named the Lobos' head softball coach. Congleton comes to New Mexico with over 20 years of head coaching experience with her most recent stop at Santa Barbara City College in Santa Barbara, California.
"Coach Congleton has great passion and pride for Lobo Softball," said Manzanares. "The chance to bring back one our most decorated Lobo Softball players, with her coaching background, to lead our program is very exciting for me. I know Coach Congleton will work tirelessly to build a program that can compete for championships in the MWC.
