U.S. Open Cup: Who should the Revolution start vs. Rochester?

Seeking a return to U.S. Open Cup final, the Revolution host the Rochester Rhinos tonight at Providence College. And, as with any Open Cup match, all eyes will focus on Jay Heaps’ Starting XI.

In last year’s Open Cup debut, the Revs beat the Carolina RailHawks, 1-0, behind a 103rd-minute goal from Zachary Herivaux. Heaps fielded a lineup that closely resembled his weekly 11, with Herivaux, Donnie Smith and Jordan McCrary serving as the only irregular names to start the match. In the second half, Chris Tierney, Kei Kamara and Lee Nguyen came off the bench, further demonstrating Heaps’ desire to advance in the tournament.
