Revolution Fall to Columbus Crew SC, 2-0

OXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution fell to Columbus Crew SC, 2-0, at Gillette Stadium on Saturday evening. Columbus got on the board early with an eighth-minute goal from Ethan Finlay and added a second tally from Federico Higuain in the second half.

Despite registering 13 chances created, the Revs couldn’t beat Crew SC goalkeeper Steve Clark, who submitted five saves. On the other end of the field, Revolution goalkeeper Brad Knighton made four saves in his first League start since New England defeated Columbus on July 9. Revolution forward Kei Kamara led the team with three chances created while Homegrown Player Zachary Herivaux made his third consecutive appearance as a substitute, replacing José Gonçalves in stoppage time.
