Revolution 1, Minnesota 2: Revs record first consecutive loss under Brad Friedel

The New England Revolution dropped a 2-1 result to Minnesota United FC on Wednesday night. It was the club’s first consecutive loss under head coach Brad Friedel.

Minnesota took the lead in the fifth minute when Christian Ramirez capitalized on a Revs’ mistake. Jalil Anibaba misplayed a header, allowing Ramirez to sneak behind the defense. The midfielder took one look at goal before beating Matt Turner, who had abandoned his line.

Ramirez threatened again in the twelfth minute when Darwin Quintero pounced on a Revs mistake. Turner was there to keep the game 1-0.
