Je-Vaughn Watson undergoes surgery

Je-Vaughn Watson will miss Sunday's season finale after undergoing surgery to correct a sports hernia. The defender will be sidelined for the next 6-8 weeks, according to New England Revolution senior staff writer Jeff Lemieux.

Je-Vaughn Watson underwent surgery earlier today to repair a sports hernia. Procedure went well. Expected recovery is 6-8 weeks. #NERevs

Watson, who came to New England by way of Dallas before the 2016 season, has made 23 regular-season appearances for the Revs, including 19 starts.
