Thursday Night Football: Patriots vs. Dolphins Preview and Prediction

The 6-0 New England Patriots host the 3-3 Miami Dolphins in Thursday Night Football battle between two AFC East teams. The Dolphins have won back-to-back blowout games under interim head coach Dan Campbell, but face a difficult task against the Patriots. Will the Dolphins win their third in a row or will New England improve to 7-0? Here's our preview and prediction.

Line: Patriots By 8

Key To The Game:

Can Miami get to quarterback Tom Brady? The Dolphins' pass rush has been great the past two weeks, recording 10 sacks. However, those came against the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. The Patriots' offensive line is banged up, and that was the case last week when Brady was sacked three times by the New York Jets. New England threw the ball 54 times, so that's not a high percentage. For the Dolphins to have a chance against New England, they need to create pressure. If Miami can't do that, expect another big game from Brady.

Prediction: Patriots Win 31-27

The Patriots pick up yet another win, but the Dolphins do produce a back-door cover. Both offenses have success, as Brady and Rob Gronkowski produce for the Patriots, while Ryan Tannehill and Lamar Miller have big games for Miami. The Dolphins are a much-improved team since Campbell took over as interim head coach, but they aren't quite as good as New England.
