The New England Patriots have had Tom Brady on the roster for 16 seasons and the quarterback doesn't seem to be slowing down. There were plenty of rumors of blood magic that would sustain Brady's run at the top of the league, where he would sacrifice his back-up quarterbacks in order to feed his youthful appearance. It's no secret that top tier prospects like Kevin O'Connell and Ryan Mallett never panned out; it was just assumed that Brady siphoned off their abilities to add them to his own skill set.
