Following Judge Richard Berman’s ruling and the nullifying of Tom Brady’s four-game suspension, the gambling odds have moved heavily in the Pats’ favor.
Prior to the ruling, the Bovada Sportsbook had the Pats as 31⁄2-point favorites over the Steelers in next Thursday’s regular-season opener. Following the judgment, that line has jumped to 7 points. Sportsbook manager Kevin Bradley explained the reasoning is as simple as Brady’s presence.
“Essentially, Tom Brady is worth an extra 3.5 points in this game,” he said.
