As the New England Patriots get ready for the key preseason Game 3 Friday night against the Carolina Panthers, there will be two fewer names in the mix for roster battles.
Late Wednesday, the Patriots announced that they'd cut rookie cornerback Jimmy Jean. Thursday morning, the agent for linebacker Cameron Gordon revealed on Twitter that the team had waive his client as well.
