It’s at this time of year, when the NFL offseason takes a back seat to the NBA and NHL playoffs and the unfolding MLB season, that we take a closer look at the chemistry of the New England Patriots’ roster. There haven’t been any transactions to speak of as of late, allowing content-hungry writers such as myself to dissect the 90-man roster.
Lately, we’ve been talking a bunch about the rookies, but as the calendar flips from May to June, it’s time to start taking a more broad look at the roster. There’s so much banter these days about which undrafted prospects might make the roster, which draft picks will emerge as main contributors; we need to step back and remember which players on the 90-man roster are roster locks.
