Minnesota judge: Roger Goodell isn't respecting the CBA

The judge that the NFLPA likely wanted to preside over Tom Brady's Deflategate appeal has issued some strong criticism of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

U.S. District Judge David S. Doty said in a hearing today about an unrelated case that he believes that Goodell is overstepping his bounds.

“I’m not sure the commissioner understands there is a CBA,” Doty said, via USA Today.

Doty, who has a long history of adjudicating NFL-NFLPA issues in federal court in Minnesota, was likely the man the NFLPA wanted to rule in Brady's case, but the union did not get its way.
