COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — There was a lot to like about the Patriots’ first game in a month with both Stephon Gilmore and Malcolm Butler on the perimeter.
Of course, there were also a handful of forgettable moments during the Pats’ 41-16 beatdown of the Broncos. That’s why Bill Belichick frequently tells his players that it’s never as good or as bad as it seems in the immediate aftermath of every outing.
Gilmore appreciated the challenge of shadowing wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, who caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown on six targets in that matchup.
