Former Longhorns standout Malcom Brown is returning to Austin.
Brown, who starred at defensive tackle for Texas from 2012-14 before being a first-round pick of the New England Patriots, was announced as the head football coach at Savio High School Wednesday.
“To have an opportunity to come home to Texas, and to coach the sport I have dedicated my life to, is truly a gift and an honor,” Brown said in the school’s announcement. “I am looking forward to mentoring our young athletes through sports and faith, as well as offering them the same opportunities afforded me as a young man growing up in Texas, which led to my success.
