The NFL’s social media team asked Drake Maye’s brothers to record a special video message for him in honor of becoming a first-round selection in this year’s draft. They did record something, but rather than congratulating him used the opportunity to troll him.
Referencing a scene from the 2011 ESPN documentary The Fab Five, the three Maye brothers — Beau, Cole and Luke — called him a “pretty boy,” “overrated,” and “a b---h.”
In the original documentary, basketball players Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard and Jimmy King are seen insulting Duke player Christian Laettner. More than a decade after the show first aired, the brief clip went viral and turned into a meme — one that is seemingly still relevant in the Maye household.
