After being selected No. 3 overall by the New England Patriots Thursday night, Drake Maye woke up Friday morning in Detroit and swapped his Carolina blue suit for a new white fit. He, along with his three brothers and longtime girlfriend, then hopped on Robert Kraft’s private plane to head to his new home.
After receiving a FaceTime from his new center, David Andrews, on the flight, the plane then traveled over Gillette Stadium where the record-setting outdoor video board welcomed him before landing in Norwood.
“Mr. Kraft’s plane was awesome. That was a sweet once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Maye said Friday afternoon on the field.
