FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots defensive end Dominique Easley left Thursday's season opener early in the first quarter with a left hip injury. His return is questionable, according to the team.

Geneo Grissom replaced Easley on the defensive line.

On one of the first plays of the game, Easley grabbed his hip as he got twisted to the ground.
