Boston College’s John Johnson and Matt Milano reach new Heights in NFL draft

Safeties from Boston College have become fashionable picks in the third round of the NFL draft.

BC strong safety John Johnson was selected Friday night in the third round (91st overall) by the Los Angeles Rams, following the pick of free safety Justin Simmons by the Denver Broncos in the third round a year ago.

“I’m feeling pretty good right now,” Johnson said. “It took a lot of hard work over the past couple of years to get here but the journey isn’t over by any means.”

BC was on the board in the fifth round yesterday when the Buffalo Bills selected outside linebacker Matt Milano with the 163rd pick.
