Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski Injured Against Broncos

UPDATED:

The Patriots don't believe that Gronkowski's injury is severe. Cue the massive sigh of relief from Patriot fans and fantasy owners everywhere.

Original story follows below:

The New England Patriots have already lost WR Julian Edelman and RB Dion Lewis this season and didn't have WR Danny Amendola against the Denver Broncos. That injury list grew to include TE Rob Gronkowski Sunday Night.

Gronkowski injured his right knee against the Broncos, when he was undercut by a Denver defender. Gronkowski's leg was whipped out to his right and he was in immediate pain.

He was carted off the field. He was ruled out of the game and it's unclear how severe the injury is.Gronk was rolling around in pain and NBC reported during the game that trainers were looking at his MCL.

Gronkowski was playing well against Denver. He caught six passes for 88 yards and a TD before going down.

With Gronk out, Scott Chandler becomes the No. 1 TE. Asante Cleveland is the team's second option at TE.
