FOXBORO – Brandon Spikes seemed his usual self after Friday's organized team activities: charismatic, funny, a bit playful.
However, for as much as the linebacker seemed like he hadn’t changed much since leaving New England for a year with the Buffalo Bills, there were some slight differences. In addition to his playful side, there he seemed more mature and reflective tone. Perhaps those latter traits are the ones he hopes to highlight in his second stint with the Patriots.
His inability to show that maturity scarred his first four years in New England. He clashed with coach Bill Belichick, and after Spikes missed a practice during a bye week in January 2014, he was placed on injured reserve.
