Coming off its first consecutive postseason berths in more than a decade, the Nevada softball team begins its 2019 season Saturday.
The Wolf Pack opens with games against Santa Clara and Sacramento State at the NorCal Kickoff tournament, split-hosted by Sacramento State and UC Davis.
Nevada returns All-Mountain West players Kenzi Goins (Reed), Lauren Gutierrez and Sierra Mello in the infield. In the circle, the Pack goes four deep with a group that includes Julia Jensen (Reed) and Kali Sargent (Douglas).
The California trip is the first of many to begin the season for Nevada, which will play its first 24 games on the road.
