Wolf Pack alum Krysta Palmer competing against world's best

The last time local diver Krysta Palmer qualified for the world championships was in 2010 and it was in a different sport.

Palmer, a Douglas High grad and record-setting Wolf Pack alum, qualified for the 2010 world championships in trampoline, the first sport she excelled in. But just five days before those championships began in France, Palmer tore the ACL in her right knee, which marked the second time she had done so in three years.

After missing those world championships, Palmer had to give up the sport do to the damage in her knee. She figured her athletic career on the world stage was over.
