As Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth sorts through his list of candidates for Nevada’s next football coach, he must answer a number of questions before settling on the right person to lead the program.
And when that person is selected and offered the job, the coach will have to answer one big question before ultimately accepting the position: Is the Wolf Pack football job a good one?
I posed that question to Brian Polian after he mutually parted ways with Nevada on Sunday, which created this opening. Polian said the Wolf Pack’s football budget, which is last out of 12 Mountain West schools, must be improved to align program expectations with reality.
