The Nevada basketball team is bringing dunks and swishes to downtown Reno on Friday night.
The Wolf Pack will hold its inaugural “Arch Madness” from 7-7:45 p.m. Friday on ReTRAC Plaza between Whitney Peak and the Silver Legacy. The event will showcase the school’s men’s and women’s program with a skills competition, 3-point shooting competition and a dunk contest. It is free to the public.
“We’ve wanted to do a preseason basketball event for some time,” Nevada spokesperson Chad Hartley said. “We’re thrilled that we were not only able to make it work this year, but to have it coincide with the March from the Arch and homecoming weekend.
