Pack makes splash, gets commit from Alabama QB David Cornwell

Nevada football coach Jay Norvell made it clear one of his top priorities in recruiting the next three weeks would be quarterback.

“A big emphasis for us is we’d like address our quarterback position,” Norvell said while introducing his staff earlier this week.

Nevada received a verbal commitment Friday from Alabama quarterback David Cornwell, who announced last month he would transfer. Cornwell, who was on Nevada's campus Friday, is one of two players who committed to the Wolf Pack on Friday. Defensive back Nephi Sewell, the brother of Nevada linebacker Gabe Sewell, also pledged to play for the Wolf Pack.
