Pack alum QB Tyler Stewart will get NFL shot with Lions

Former Wolf Pack quarterback Tyler Stewart, who saw his senior season cut short by an injury, will get a shot with an NFL team.

Stewart will take part in the Detroit Lions' rookie minicamp next week, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Stewart, from Simi Valley, Calif., was a two-year starter for the Wolf Pack. As a junior, Stewart completed 57.1 percent of his passes for 2,139 yards, with 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Stewart's senior season ended prematurely when he injured his throwing shoulder in the team's eighth game.
