While news was breaking Wednesday morning that Eric Musselman was taking his name out of the Cal search and returning to Nevada, Wolf Pack athletic director Doug Knuth was busy interviewing job candidates.
No, Knuth wasn’t searching for Musselman’s potential replacements – he was always optimistic Nevada would be able to retain Musselman. He was instead doing Skype interviews with candidates for Nevada’s open women’s basketball position. While it’s been a busy few weeks for Knuth, who has juggled retaining Musselman with looking for a women's coach as well as his others tasks, he’s nearing a hire for the premier women’s coaching job on campus.
