Tierra Williams made a return trip to the Nebraska state high school track meet last weekend, the meet where she was a seven-time state champion while competing for Auburn.
After the trip she told her mother she felt more pressure at those high school state meets than she does now as a member of the Nebraska track team, even though she’s now in line to win conference championships and have top finishes at the NCAA championships.
“There are thousands of people everywhere. You can’t even walk,” said Williams of the state meet, held each year at Omaha Burke.
