Nebraska's Oladapo Akinmoladun finished third Friday in the men's 60-meter hurdles at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Akinmoladun, the defending Big Ten indoor champion, was timed in 7.74 seconds, just five one-hundredths behind the winner.
The Husker distance runners also had a strong day, as Jordan De Spong finished sixth in the invitational mile in 4 minutes, 10.99 seconds. Peter Spinks (4:16.19) was fourth in the open division of the race.
Moujtaba Mohammed, a North Star grad, was seventh in the open 800 (1:52.46), with teammate Jacob Olson eighth (1:52.54).
NU's Craig Driver won the open pole vault, clearing 17 feet, 5 inches, while teammates Tyler Loontjer (seventh, 16-7¼) and Beau Simmons (ninth, 16-1¼) also were in the top 10.
