The Nebraska Cornhuskers have renegotiated the home-and-home contract with the Cincinnati Bearcats. The Huskers will now open the 2025 season on August 30th at Lucas Oil Stadium against the Big 12 opponent instead of at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati. The news was first reported by FBSchedules.com.
This game was originally scheduled to play in Lincoln in 2020. However, Nebraska’s matchup against the then American Athletic Conference member was cancelled as a result of the Big Ten’s conference-only schedule that season due to the COVID pandemic. That game has been moved to 2032 in Lincoln, and the 2025 game has been renegotiated to be played at Lucas Oil Stadium.
