After signing to be a late addition to the Nebraska women’s basketball team last week, Kate Cain politely asked if she could wait one day before doing an interview with a reporter, and she had a very understandable reason for doing so.
Cain was the No. 2 ranked student in her class of about 450 based on academics at Pine Bush High School in New York, and that meant she had to give a speech at the graduation ceremony on June 24. She needed some more time to work on her speech.
“It wasn’t cheesy,” said Cain of her speech, “but there were a couple of clichés in there.
