Huskers Fall to Buckeyes, 2-1, in Extras

Lincoln – On a day when both starting pitcher took the mound in the 10th inning, the No. 23 Nebraska baseball team (29-12, 6-5 Big Ten) dropped its first extra-inning game of the year and saw its six-game winning streak against the Ohio State Buckeyes (25-10, 8-3) come to an end. With the game tied 1-1 going into the 10th, the Buckeyes got a two-out RBI single to take the lead and the Huskers were unable to answer in a 2-1 loss.

OSU sophomore Travis Lakins tossed all 10 innings for the Buckeyes to improve to 2-2 on the season.
