Erstad says to-do list not as long for Huskers

Pitching, batting gloves, hitting, helmets, fielding, reading signs, training and recovery all make for a long list of to-dos.

Nebraska coach Darin Erstad said the list isn’t as long as it was before the season-opening weekend in Tempe, Arizona, and the three games in Surprise, Arizona, last weekend.

“We didn’t get a chance to go through everything that first week because we had two rainouts and we still had some of that deer-headlights lingering last weekend,” he said. “But overall, the list isn’t long and there isn’t anything glaring.”

The Huskers (2-4) face a rugged three-game tournament this weekend with familiar foes Oklahoma State and Arkansas (coached by former NU coach Dave Van Horn) and Arizona.
