Annapolis, Md. - The Husker Rifle team defeated No. 8 Navy today in Annapolis, Md., with a final score of 4,671-4,661. NU was led by junior Emily Cheramie, who earned first in the overall individual standings.
NU took the early lead in smallbore behind Cheramie's 585. Hana Musser fired 578 and Elena Flake followed with 576. Samantha Peterson shot 573 to round out the squadded scores. The team's total smallbore score was 2,312.
In air rifle the Huskers earned a team score of 2,359, led by freshman Macey Way, who fired a career-high 596.
