AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas regents have approved a financial settlement with former athletic director Steve Patterson.
Details were not released, pending final acceptance from Patterson, but ESPN's Brett McMurphy confirmed Sep. 22 that the settlement is worth up to $2.8 million. The final amount will vary, depending on what Patterson might earn if he gets another job.
