CORVALLIS, Oregon — From a thick fog emerged clarity.
Oregon's playoff dream is dead, and Oregon State has finally breathed some life back into the rivalry.
The Beavers outscored the No. 11 Ducks 22-7 in the fourth quarter to win 41-38 on Friday at Reser Stadiu.
Oregon coordinator Andy Avalos’ defense gave up 532 total yards, but had a chance to pull out the win if it could have held the Beavers to 531.
But the Ducks’ goal-line stand did not hold up on fourth-and-inches as Beavers backup quarterback Chance Nolan muscled his way into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown with 33 seconds left.
